Vulcan County Search And Rescue (VCSAR)

Serving our Community - "We Do This........So Others May Live"

Sponsorship

Vulcan County Search and Rescue Society (VCSAR) is a non-profit, charitable organization. We provide trained volunteers to the RCMP and other law-enforcement agencies.

VCSAR members provide their own basic equipment. They must be fully equipped to survive varying conditions, without notice, for a minimum of 24 hours. They must also be able to provide Medical and moral support for the subjects of the search.

VCSAR members receive no compensation for their expenses or time. VCSAR will provide training and major group equipment whenever possible at no cost to the members.

Because we are a new society, we may rely heavily on private and corporate donations to ensure that we can provide our services. Your support will help carry us towards our goals of assisting citizens in distress by helping us to maintain necessary training, purchasing essential operating equipment and to help us promote the importance of Search and Rescue in Alberta.

If you are interested in helping VCSAR get established, there are certain items that are badly needed in order to run efficiently:
